At Cannabis Club Systems, we believe new technology should have a very simple purpose: make your day-to-day work easier.
Over the past months, clubs using SmartCore and SmartBud have given us valuable feedback about what they liked, what they didn’t, and—most importantly—what could be simpler. We listened.
On 1 September, we’re introducing new versions of SmartCore and SmartBud, redesigned around the way clubs actually work.
The goal isn’t to add complexity. It’s to remove it.
What Did Clubs Tell Us?
One message came through particularly clearly: keep it simple.
Club staff are busy. When a new product arrives, they don’t want additional systems to learn, unnecessary screens to navigate, or more steps added to everyday tasks.
Technology should work around the club—not the other way around.
That feedback became one of the main principles behind the new Smart Series experience.
SmartCore: Fewer Steps, Faster Product Registration
SmartCore helps clubs build richer and more consistent product information.
With the new version, we’ve focused heavily on making that process quicker and easier.
The updated experience means:

There’s no separate system for staff to learn and no complicated setup process.

SmartBud: AI Made Easier
Artificial intelligence can be incredibly powerful, but clubs shouldn’t need to understand AI to benefit from it.
That’s the philosophy behind the new SmartBud.
We’ve focused on making the technology work quietly in the background while keeping the experience straightforward for the people actually using it.
The result is a simpler way for clubs to benefit from intelligent product information without introducing unnecessary complexity into their daily operations.
No Complicated Setup
Another important lesson from club feedback was that activating new technology shouldn’t become another administrative task.
With the new SmartCore and SmartBud experience, we’ve worked to remove as much friction as possible.

Built With Clubs, Not Just For Clubs
Some of the most useful product improvements don’t begin in a development meeting.

We believe listening to those comments is essential.
Software designed for cannabis clubs has to reflect the reality of running one. That means continually testing, listening, improving and sometimes simplifying rather than simply adding more features.
The new SmartCore and SmartBud experience is another example of that approach.
What’s Changing on 1 September?
From 1 September 2026, clubs will begin using the new SmartCore and SmartBud experience directly within CCS.
The biggest change isn’t one individual feature.
It’s the overall philosophy:
Less friction. Less complexity. More value from the technology you already use.
Existing CCS users don’t need to learn an entirely new platform. The tools have been designed to feel like a natural extension of CCS.
Keep the Feedback Coming
Launching the new versions doesn’t mean we’re finished.
Quite the opposite.
We’ll continue listening to clubs, monitoring how the tools are being used and improving the experience based on real-world feedback.
If something can be made easier, we want to know.
Because the future of cannabis club technology shouldn’t be about adding more complexity.
